FAQ

Is the Ebbtide game out?
No. The Steam page is marked Coming soon and no release date has been announced. See our release-date tracker for the current status.
Who makes the Ebbtide game?
ProjectAlive is both developer and publisher, per the official Steam listing.

What is the Ebbtide game?

The Ebbtide game is a single-player zombie survival RTS (real-time strategy) for PC, developed and published by ProjectAlive. You command TF-1 “Ark”, humanity’s last carrier task force, in a world overrun by the dead — starting in Los Angeles, from the Hollywood Hills to the Port of LA.

Its defining mechanic: the operations map is the battlefield. Scroll into any street and you are in the live 3D pixel-art battle with no loading screen; scroll out and the fight continues without you. There are no separate missions and no hidden auto-resolve.

This site is an unofficial fan wiki. For the store facts see our Ebbtide Steam page, and for launch timing see the release-date tracker.

No. The Ebbtide game is an unrelated indie project by ProjectAlive. It shares only a name with the boat manufacturer (and with various apartment listings). This wiki covers only the game — every page here uses the full “Ebbtide game” form to keep the two apart.

What is confirmed about gameplay?

Everything we know comes from the official Steam “About This Game” text — all pre-release information that can still change:

  • Real-time operations map — Los Angeles’ 15 districts slide from Hold to Crisis to Lost; pause or run at up to 4× speed.
  • Commandable forces — National Guard, LAPD, LA County Sheriff’s units, and Marines from Camp Pendleton, plus truck and helicopter convoys.
  • Direct control — press TAB to take over a soldier, tank, or helicopter.
  • The Nexus — a hive mind that steers the horde: ambushing convoys, cutting roads, besieging bases.
  • Base building — forward operating bases with HESCO and concrete walls, gun nests, CIWS, mortar pits, ammo and fuel points.
  • Fire support — artillery, naval guns, cruise missiles, and air strikes, with finite ship magazines.

Full breakdown on the gameplay page. Unit stats, tech trees, and balance numbers are all to be confirmed at launch.

What is the release status?

Not Announced. The Steam page says “Coming soon” with no date and no price. No demo or playtest has been announced. We track the official channels and update the release-date page the same day anything changes.

How does this wiki verify information?

Every claim on this site traces to an official source: the Steam listing, a developer announcement, or an official video. If a fact is not in one of those, we either leave it out or mark it “to be confirmed at launch”. We never invent dates, stats, or features.
